With the Mandatory Grant deadline already passed, Fasset is hard at work with assessing all applications received to ensure that the first payment for 2017/2018 is made in August 2017. We would like to thank all employers in our sector that submitted their Mandatory Grant by 30 April 2017. The assessment and query process is underway; please remember that queries raised by Fasset need to be responded to within one month to ensure that all grants are settled on time.
There are also a number of Fasset events on offer over the next few months, so be sure to register early to avoid disappointment.

TVET WBE Programme
The Department of Higher Education and Training identified the need to capacitate public TVET Colleges, to become the preferred providers of occupational skills, as relevant, in South Africa. This need was identified to, amongst others; address the high unemployment rate amongst the age group 16 - 34.
In this context, Fasset is once again implementing a project aimed at facilitating and funding workplace-based experience for graduates from public TVET College. This project is aimed at learners who have successfully completed the N6 certificate in business studies and who are eligible to achieve the National N Diploma at NQF level 6, upon completion of 18 months' relevant work experience.
Fasset will be assisting employers to recruit learners who have specialised in one of the following areas:
- Financial Management;
- Business Management;
- Marketing Management;
- HR Management; and
- Management Assistant.
Fasset will open another window in August 2017 for employers to apply to be part of the TVET WBE programme.
