The first quarter of the 2016/2017 financial year has flown by with a flurry of grant applications and excitement. It's also Youth month and this year marks the 40th anniversary of the Soweto uprisings. As we commemorate the role of all youths played in overcoming the previous regime, I would like us to reflect upon a legacy we want to build for the next generations. As the youth of today, what is our contribution to education and skills development? What is our contribution to a lasting legacy; what is our story going to be in the next 40 years? Let's ponder on this as we celebrate Youth month.
The Compliance with Changes in Legislation workshop will be running from the 22 August 2016 to 9 September 2016. More information on course content, venue details and how to reserve your seat will be available on our website from 01 July 2016.
Another important date to diarise is 15 September 2016; Fasset will be hosting its AGM and Thank-you function. Further details will follow in the July issue of eFacts.
We would like to see the Finance and Accounting Services sector transforming through an increase of qualified and trained individuals; and endeavour to keep finding more ways to make this happen.
Should you have any recommendations or queries, please email us at fassetcallcentre@fasset.org.za
Kind Regards
Zandile Skosana
