GETTING STARTED WITH FASSET
Fasset is the Sector Education and Training Authority (Seta) for the Finance, Accounting, Management Consulting and Other Financial Services sector. It is one of the Setas established in April 2000 in terms of the Skills Development Act (SDA) of 1998.
"My name is Lethabo Semetse and i am a proud beneficiary of the FASSET Bursary. Before i was on the FASSET Bursary, my fees were being paid for by my father who could only afford to get me through my first year of studies."
"Hi, my name is Jessica Siphiwe and I am in my 3rd year of a Beam accounting degree at Rhodes University. Coming from a challenging backgroung of 6 siblings raised by a single parent, finances at home were very limited thus, obtaining the Fasset Bursary was the best thing to happen to me in 2018"
"I have always dreamt of having a Commerce degree, but due to lack of funding it looked like this would be unobtainable. When I was told about FASSET I felt a glimpse of hope; I applied and was awarded the funding."
"My name is Yolande, a student at Rhodes University studying towards a Beam degree. In 2018, a friend told about the FASSET funded and advised that i should apply for it. My application was successfully approved and all the perks of being a beneficiary began to unfold."
